Just before 6 p.m. officers stopped the vehicle of Noukay Vongchantha near the intersection of Clay Avenue and Thesta Street.
Vongchantha was on felony probation at the time for sales of narcotics, and additional police units were called in.
During the search of the car officers found nine large packaged bricks of processed marijuana, and an additional two pounds of marijuana in the trunk.
Vongchantha was arrested and booked into Fresno County jail on suspicion of possession for sale of marijuana, transportation for sales and for violating the terms of his probation.
