Parlier man arrested for alleged child molestation

A 67-year-old Parlier man was arrested Monday of suspected of child molestation, Parlier police reported.

Richard Wagnon was taken into custody for alleged molestation of a 6-year-old from Parlier.

Police were alerted by one of the child’s family members after the child informed her about the incident. Following an investigation, police determined sufficient evidence existed to arrest Wagnon.

He was later arrested at his home and the child was taken into protective custody.

Wagnon was booked for two counts of child molestation and false imprisonment. Parlier police, who did not identify the gender of the victim, are continuing their investigation.
