Fresno police investigating vehicle burglaries at American Legion post

Fresno police are investigating multiple vehicle burglaries that occurred at the American Legion post in central Fresno on Nov. 23.

Lt. Joe Gomez said an unidentified suspect broke into three vehicles at American Legion Post 509 on 3509 N. First St. between 7 and 8:20 p.m. while the car owners were in a meeting inside.

The rear windows were smashed out and the suspect seemed to focus on stealing items that were in plain sight. Items like CDs, hats, tools, house keys and a vehicle registration card were stolen. Gomez said these break-ins were isolated incidents.
