Visalia DUI patrol makes one arrest, issues 79 citations

Officers in a DUI saturation detail in Visalia stopped 91 vehicles which resulted in 79 various citations issued and three vehicles towed on Wednesday, the Visalia Police Department said.

The operation was from 6 p.m. to midnight. There were nine field sobriety tests given, nine citations for unlicensed driving, one DUI arrest, and 70 additional citations for other offenses.

The Fresno Police Department had a similar operation on Saturday. Police stopped 103 vehicle, made 12 DUI arrests, gave 19 citations for unlicensed driving and 70 other citations.
