A Bulldog gang member was arrested Monday afternoon on narcotics and firearms charges in northeast Fresno, the second time he was booked on similar charges in a month.

Sgt. Paul Cervantes of the MAGEC anti-gang unit said the suspect, Marco Perez, 30, was out on bail for similar offenses when he was arrested at an apartment on Augusta Street, just northeast of the Fresno Street/Bullard Avenue intersection. After serving a search warrant, officers recovered hydrocodone, Soma and a generic form of Xanex. Officers also developed information that led them to a Belmont Avenue home just west of Fowler Avenue, where seven firearms were recovered.

Cervantes said that officers made a traffic stop on Perez on Oct. 17 and recovered a concealed firearm and prescription drugs for sale. He was booked on those charges and was free on bond when he was arrested Monday. He was still in Fresno County Jail late Tuesday afternoon.
