Porterville man committed to state hospital under sexual predator act

A Porterville man was committed to the California Department of State Hospitals for life on Friday after a Tulare County jury found him to be a sexually violent predator.

Rickie Silguero Coronado, 51, was committed under the Sexually Violent Predator Act for people who have diagnosable mental disorders that make them likely to engage in acts of sexual violence.

Coronado was convicted in 2002 of one count of sodomy by use of force and two counts of forcible oral copulation of a 15-year-old victim.
