Lindsay police caught a man suspected of robbing a bank in the city this week, the department announced.
According to police, detectives tracked 41-year-old Steve Clayton Goff of Alabama to a Highway 99 motel near Kingsburg, where he was arrested late Friday morning after a brief struggle.
Police say Goff robbed the Bank of America in Lindsay about 2 p.m. Thursday. He approached a teller and handed her a note demanding cash, and indicated he was armed. No weapon was actually seen during the robbery. He took an undisclosed amount of cash.
Goff was booked into Tulare County Jail on charges of robbery and battery on a police officer.
