Drugs, guns and cash seized at Fresno home

A Peckerwood gang member was arrested Wednesday night after officers seized multiple firearms, methamphetamine and $3,000 in cash from a home west of Highway 99, Fresno police reported.

Sgt. Paul Cervantes said MAGEC gang detectives received a tip about the sale of drugs from a home in the 3200 block of North Hayes Avenue and the homeowner agreed to allow a search.

Detectives found Andy Gilley, 44, hiding under blankets. They recovered the pistols, 2 ounces of the drug and the cash.

Gilley has prior firearms and drug convictions and was booked into Fresno County Jail on weapons and narcotics charges.

So far this year, the MAGEC team has seized 206 firearms.
