Video shows theft of tools worth thousands from truck in southeast Fresno

Police are looking for a thief who was seen on video stealing tools from a pickup truck parked in a southeast Fresno neighborhood.

The tools, used for cement construction, are worth thousands of dollars, police said.

The burglary happened about 4:30 a.m. Nov. 7 on Alta Avenue just south of Kings Canyon Road and west of Sunnyside Avenue. It was captured on the home’s security video.

Police said vehicle burglaries are increasing in southeast Fresno. Authorities urge people not to leave valuables in vehicles, and to lock their autos securely.
