Man arrested in Clovis for burglary after being caught on video
A man was arrested in Clovis after he was caught on surveillance video attempting to break in to a house on Thursday, the Clovis Police Department said.
Trent Tapia, 29, attempted to break into a house in the 2100 block of Keats Avenue, police said. The homeowner showed police the video in which Tapia attempted to find an open door and window.
Tapia’s vehicle was also caught on video.
On Saturday, police responded to the 1500 block of Scott Avenue after Tapia made off with tools he stole from another house, police said.
Police located and arrested Tapia while he was still casing houses in the area, police said. Several stolen items were found in his vehicle.
Tapia was booked into Fresno County Jail for residential burglary.
