Three Tulare teens arrested on murder charges

Three teenagers were arrested after police suspect they stabbed a 21-year-old man to death in what could be a gang-related killing on Friday, the Tulare Police Department said.

Police responded to the area of Sacramento Street and San Joaquin Avenue around 4:30 p.m. for a disturbance and possible stabbing victim.

When they arrived, they found Eduardo Veyna of Tulare suffering what appeared to be stab wounds, police said. He was transported to Tulare Regional Medical Center where he later died.

Investigators arrested two teenage boys, ages 15 and 16, both from Tulare, who they believe committed the crime, police said. The weapon was also located.

Later that day, investigators arrested another suspect, a 17-year-old boy from Tulare.

All three were booked into Tulare County Jail on murder charges. Although police are still investigating whether this was gang-related, two of the suspects were charged with participating in a criminal street gang.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact detective Espinosa at 559-685-2300, ext: 4296.
