Fresno police recovered an Argentinian 9 mm pistol stolen from Visalia after responding to a report of a large disturbance Sunday afternoon in northwest Fresno.

Sgt. Doug Goertzen said that when officers went to the 5100 block of West Alluvial Avenue about 4:30 p.m., the crowd began to disperse, but witnesses pointed to a car that allegedly was involved in the incident. The driver, Gemini Snowden, 25, was on felony probation. A search of his vehicle uncovered the pistol. Snowden was booked on weapons charges.
