Gang member arrested with firearm in southeast Fresno
An attempt to shoplift from Winco Foods ended in a 19-year-old’s arrest in southeast Fresno, once police discovered he had a stolen gun.
Fresno officers stopped Keith McCray from leaving the Winco at 1004 S. Peach Ave. after he attempted to shoplift from the store Friday night around 11:30 p.m. More officers arrived and arrested McCray, a Fresno resident.
Police confiscated the loaded .38-caliber revolver, which they later determined was stolen.
McCray is a known gang member, police said. He was booked into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of shoplifting, being in possession of a concealed stolen firearm and additional gang charges.
