Man climbs into refrigerator to hide from Fresno police
A man on probation for domestic violence fled from Fresno police when they tried to check up on him Saturday night, and after searching an apartment, officers found him hiding in a refrigerator.
Lt. Mindy Casto said officers were at Olive Avenue and Ninth Street in central Fresno when they saw the man and wanted to do a probation check. He fled into his mother’s apartment.
After two hours, police were able to get approval to search the residence, and found him in the refrigerator. Five children in the apartment at the time were found and were not harmed.
The man was cold, but otherwise unhurt, Casto said.
