Gang member driving stolen car arrested by Fresno police

A gang member driving a stolen car was arrested early Friday west of Highway 99, police reported.

Sgt. Troy Miller said officers were looking for a wanted suspect near Brawley and Shields avenues when they spotted a suspicious vehicle. When they ran the license number on the car, they found it did not match the car, which turned out to be stolen. They arrested Joe Perales, who has an extensive criminal history. He was booked into Fresno County Jail.
