Charges will not be filed against a Visalia couple suspected of homicide in the death of their 3-month-old child, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.
Daniel Ramirez, 29, and Angela Jimenez, 28, were arrested last week by Visalia police on suspicion of homicide following an interview at the Police Department.
Assistant District Attorney Anthony Fultz said the DA’s office reviewed the case and decided against filing charges.
“We’re open to looking at it again if there’s more information that comes forward,” Fultz said.

Police Chief Jason Salazar said the investigation into the baby’s death will continue.
“We are working on getting more information,” he said. “It’s an ongoing investigation.”

The child died four days later, and police opened an investigation. The gender and name of the the child were not made public.
On Friday, police said detectives believe there are witnesses who can help and anyone with information is asked to contact detective Josh Pena at 559-713-4156.
