An estimated 20 firearms were stolen from a home in the Springville area, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The burglary took place sometime between July 13 and Monday.
A sheriff’s spokesman said the home is in the 51000 block of Balch Park Road. The adult daughter of the homeowner is taking care of the home while her mother is in the hospital.
Deputies found the front door was forced open and the weapons taken. Deputies also discovered a sawed-off shotgun in the home and confiscated it as an illegal weapon.
