Porterville police get $69,000 traffic safety grant
The Porterville Police Department was awarded a $69,000 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety for a year-long program to help prevent traffic-related deaths.
The department will use funds through both enforcement and education, with activities available through the grant including: DUI checkpoints, drugged driving training, speed and red light enforcement, traffic safety presentations and many others.
