Fresno man fires shots and strikes house, police say

A man was arrested late Saturday in northeast Fresno after police said he fired shots at a house.

Police received calls of shots fired shortly after 11 p.m. in the area of San Bruno Avenue and Fourth Street. At least one shot struck a house at 5263 N. Fourth St., police said.

The suspect, Pheng Lee, 26, was found in an apartment at 1310 E. San Bruno Ave. After searching the apartment, police said they found several spent rounds of .380-caliber casings in Lee’s bedroom and a semi-automatic 9mm gun in a closet.

Lee told officers the gun inside the apartment belonged to him. Police took the gun and other evidence believed to be related to the shooting.

Lee was arrested for shooting into an inhabited dwelling and possessing a firearm with a previous felony conviction, police said.
