Fresno gang member arrested on firearm, felony narcotics charges

One man was arrested Saturday in Fresno after police said he had a methamphetamine pipe and a loaded gun inside his vehicle.

Police found Marco Perez, 30, of Fresno, after stopping him for a vehicle code violation near Fresno Street and Bullard Avenue.

Perez told officers he had a methamphetamine pipe in his pocket and a loaded gun inside his vehicle.

Police said they removed Perez from the car and found a .40-caliber handgun, more than 100 prescription pills, methamphetamine and marijuana, all of which were determined to be for sale.

Perez is an admitted Bulldog gang member, police said.

He was booked into the Fresno County Jail for illegal possession of a concealed firearm and several felony narcotics charges.
