Police tout drop in southeast Fresno crime
Fresno police said violent crime in southeast Fresno has decreased by 33 percent over the last month, while property crimes have fallen over 13 percent.
When compared to this time last year, overall violent crime in southeast Fresno is down by 1.1 percent and property crimes are down 7.5 percent, police said.
The announcement comes as the Big Fresno Fair starts Wednesday. With that in mind, police remind fairgoers to protect themselves. Specifically:
▪ Remove valuables from vehicles prior to attending the fair.
▪ Park in designated fair parking lots and lock all car doors and windows before leaving.
