A 36-year-old Lawndale man was arrested Wednesday in Coalinga after deputies said he was found with a large bag of marijuana and cash.

Randy Tran was stopped in the area of Interstate 5 and Dorris Avenue near a Chevron gas station, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies said they searched Tran’s car and found 10 pounds of marijuana, along with $120,000 in cash.

Criminals use Interstate 5 to transport large amounts of methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine and heroin, deputies said.

Tran was booked into the Fresno County Jail for possession of marijuana for sale and probation violation, deputies said.
