Man shot in leg in Hanford

Hanford police are investigating a shooting that took place early Monday at Third Street and Eleventh Avenue.

The victim told investigators that he was wounded just after midnight as he was standing on the north side of Third when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and two people stepped out. One pointed a gun at him and fired as the victim began to run. He heard two gunshots and a bullet struck him in the right thigh. The victim said no words were exchanged before the shooting.
