Hanford man stole speaker, money from minor, police say
A 29-year-old Hanford man was arrested Thursday in Hanford after police said he stole a portable speaker and money from a juvenile victim.
The robbery happened Tuesday in the 700 block of West Lacey Boulevard in Hanford.
Police said the victim was walking home when the man came from behind and stole the speaker from the victim’s hand.
The victim tried to retrieve the speaker by giving money to the suspect, but the suspect also stole the money, police said.
The man then pushed the victim to the ground and fled south of 11th Avenue, police said.
Police found the suspect, Javier Morales Martinez while he was walking west on Davis Street on Thursday.
Police said Martinez has an extensive criminal history and is currently on probation.
He was booked for robbery, police said.
