Three gang members jailed in central Fresno
Three gang members were arrested during a traffic stop after police found a loaded gun in their vehicle in central Fresno early Saturday morning, the Fresno Police Department said.
Officers stopped a vehicle for a minor traffic violation just before 1 a.m. near Kearney Boulevard and Fresno Street.
Two of the three people in the vehicle were on felony probation for weapons charges, police said. Police recognized all three as west Fresno gang members.
An inspection of the vehicle found a loaded 9mm handgun under the front passenger seat, police said. The gun’s serial numbers had been removed.
Hakim Haqq was arrested on several firearms related charges as well as possession of methamphetamine.
Isaiah Moore and Jamar Johnson, whose probation prohibited them from associating with other gang members, were arrested and booked into Fresno County Jail for violating those terms.
