Hanford homeowner helps catch alleged burglar

A Hanford homeowner helped police catch an alleged burglar.

According to police, the case unfolded about 1 p.m. Wednesday in a neighborhood near Hidden Valley Park. The resident returned home to find a man later identified as 18-year-old Daniel Hopper in the house. Hopper dropped a bag full of not only items he was planning to steal, but also his cell phone, and ran away with the homeowner in pursuit.

Officers caught Hopper nearby. Police say he’s been arrested for similar burglaries.
