Three men posed as cops and robbed homes, Fresno County deputies say
Three men were arrested in Fresno after deputies said they robbed homes while posing as police officers.
Fresno County deputies found the men Thursday at a home in the 1600 block of East American Avenue in Fresno.
Investigators found Kevin Rodriguez, 25, of Sanger, and Thomas Fleming, 32, and Unkham Artphasook, 37, both of Fresno.
The men robbed homes with marijuana-growing operations, deputies said.
Several items found during a search warrant linked the men to the alleged crimes, deputies said. The items included security badges, a nylon gun belt, an expandable baton, a stolen passport, stolen credit cards, methamphetamine pipes and ammunition, deputies said.
Deputies also said they found two green flight suits with “Fresno Sheriff” stenciled on the back.
Additionally, deputies said they searched an SUV believed to be associated with the robberies.
A pump-action shotgun was hidden under the rear seat of the SUV, along with ammunition, deputies said.
