Man robbed at gunpoint on Shaw Avenue

A man was robbed at gunpoint Thursday afternoon near Shaw Avenue and First Street, Fresno police reported.

The robbery took place about 1:15 at Shaw and Mariposa Avenue, where the victim was confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun. They took his wallet, containing about $140 and fled in a white compact car with paper plates.
