Police find more than 200 marijuana plants near Fresno school
Police issued a $50,000 fine to a resident Wednesday for cultivating 132 marijuana plants in southeast Fresno in an operation aimed to tackle residential marijuana grows near schools, the Fresno Police Department said.
Detectives searched four houses near Ewing Elementary School and seized more than 200 plants from backyards, police said.
Police said 400 plants have been confiscated as a result of the ongoing “Operation School Safety Zone.”
