Corcoran shooting puts one in hospital
A shooting put one person in the hospital early Sunday in Corcoran, the Corcoran Police Department said.
Police responded to the 1000 block of Ventura Avenue shortly before 1:30 a.m. after reports of a shooting into an inhabited dwelling.
One of the victims that officers found had been shot and had non lethal injuries. The victim was transported to Adventist Health Medical Center in Hanford.
The victims told police they didn’t know who shot at them. Several shots were fired at them and the assailants fled. The victims did not provide a description of the suspects.
Multiple vehicles in the area sustained damage from gunshots. Spent bullet casings and shotgun shells were found, police said.
