Tulare pedestrian in fatal accident ID’d
The name of a pedestrian hit and killed by an SUV in Tulare has been made public.
Tulare police said the victim is Anatolio Frausto Martinez, 57, of Tulare.
The incident happened about 1 a.m. Friday at East Prosperity Avenue and Gem Street.
Arriving officers found him suffering from visible injuries and he was declared dead at the scene.
Police said a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe was being driven east on Prosperity by Antoine Threet, 42. It appears that the pedestrian stepped onto the road in front of the vehicle, police said.
