Riverdale man wanted for assaulting his grandfather, deputies say
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man accused of assaulting his 87-year-old grandfather.
Deputies found the elderly man Tuesday at a home in the 20800 block of South Valentine Avenue in Riverdale.
The elderly man was bleeding due to severe cuts on his face, neck and arm, deputies said.
Alan Rangel, 26, Riverdale, was not supposed to be at his grandfather’s house, but he forced his way inside, deputies said.
During an argument, Rangel allegedly shoved his grandfather through a plate glass window, then ran away.
After the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office sought the public’s assistance Thursday in locating Rangel, he was arrested at a home on the 20400 block of Valley Oak Lane in Riverdale.
