Man shot in jaw during central Fresno home party
A 23-year-old man was shot in the jaw around 11:35 p.m. Saturday during a party on Fulton Street just north of Highway 180.
The victim and three witnesses drove to Community Regional Medical Center.
The witnesses told police that between 50 and 100 people were at the party. They were walking out the back door of the building when they were approached by a group of men.
One of the men said something like, “Where are you from?” The witnesses heard a gunshot and the victim fell to the ground. None of the witnesses saw the shooting because of all the people at the party, but one saw a person holding a gun after the shooting.
The victim was unable to give a statement because of his broken jaw. The injury is non-life threatening.
Police said the victim thinks he knows who fired the shot.
