Child, relatives arrested on gun charges related to Fresno shooting
An investigation into a central Fresno shooting that occurred last week yielded three arrests on Thursday, police said.
Fresno police Sgt. James Fowler said officers were called to the intersection of First Street and Ashlan Avenue on Aug. 27 for a shots fired call. They learned that someone had fired at an occupied vehicle and then ran away. No one was injured in the shooting.
Police identified a juvenile suspect in the shooting and searched his home on Thursday. They found two firearms, a disassembled shotgun later determined to be stolen, ammunition and numerous weapons and drug paraphernalia parts, Fowler said.
The juvenile, whose name and age were not given, was arrested on assault with a deadly weapon and other gun-related charges. Two adults, who were at the home during the search and who were not identified, were also booked on weapons charges.
