No pipe bomb found, Miramonte lockdown lifted
Miramonte Elementary School was placed on lockdown Friday afternoon after a suspicious pipe was found at a nearby home.
Clovis police spokeswoman Janet Stoll-Lee said a woman in an adjacent neighborhood called police around 11:15 a.m. when she noticed a pipe, about a foot long, near her home. Stoll-Lee said X-rays showed nothing flammable or explosive was inside, and the object was simply a pipe with caps on either end.
Stoll-Lee said no threat was called in to the woman or the school.
