Suspect ID’d in school burglary near Lemoore

The Kings County Sheriff’s Department has released a photo of a suspect in the burglary of Island Union School and is asking the public to call authorities if he’s spotted.

The K-8 school near Lemoore was burglarized over the weekend and dozens of laptop computers were stolen.

Ricardo David Garcia, 37, was identified through surveillance video, social media and other methods, the sheriff’s department said Friday.

He has a record of arrests for stolen cars and property, burglaries, narcotics and violent assaults, the department said.

He has lived in Fresno and is wanted on several warrants. He’s considered dangerous and the public should not try to apprehend him, the department said.

He is 5 feet 10 inches, with brown hair, brown eyes and a tattoo of a star under his left eye, a tattoo of a bio-hazard symbol on the left side of his neck and an unknown word tattoo above his right eyebrow.

Anybody who knows his whereabouts should call the Kings County Sheriff's Department at (559) 852-2720 or any local law enforcement agency.
