Deputies search for Fresno stabbing victim’s attacker
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance to find a man who allegedly stabbed a woman in Fresno.
Deputies said Francisco Petatan, 27, of Fresno, stabbed the woman around 3 p.m. Wednesday in the 4200 block of East Harvard Avenue.
The 25-year-old-woman was stabbed in her neck and back multiple times, but she was treated and released from the hospital, deputies said.
Petatan is described as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair, goatee and tattoos on both arms.
Deputies said he ran away after the stabbing.
Petatan has a violent criminal history and he may be armed, so the public should not approach him, deputies said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (559) 600-3111 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867.
Petatan and the victim know each other, deputies said.
