Police issued 57 citations, arrested five people and impounded four vehicles during a DUI operation that stopped 91 vehicles Friday night, the Visalia Police Department said.
Four of the arrests were for DUI and a fifth person was arrested after it was discovered that he had an outstanding warrant, police say.
During the operation, police gave 14 field sobriety tests and gave out many citations for unlicensed driving, driving on a suspended license and other offenses.
The DUI Enforcement Team and other units of the Visalia Police Department will conduct additional operations aimed at deterring drinking and driving, police say.
