In a statement from Central Unified, spokesperson Johnathon Burrows confirmed Flores previously worked as a substitute teacher for the district.

“Upon learning of these allegations, we immediately barred this individual from our campuses, launched an internal investigation, and are fully cooperating with the Fresno Police Department to ensure they have all necessary information for their ongoing investigation,” the district’s statement reads.

Burrows said Central Unified couldn’t provide additional details amid the investigation, including how long Flores worked for the district and at what sites.
