A quarrel between two neighbors in Clovis landed both in the hospital — one with stab wounds, and another with injuries from being knocked out.

Clovis police spokesperson Ty Wood said officers were called to an apartment complex at the 300 block of Santa Ana Avenue in Clovis, near Peach and Shaw avenues, around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The initial report was of a disturbance between two neighbors, though another caller said someone may have been stabbed.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found an unconscious man and another man with two stab wounds to the abdomen.

Wood said the victim had been stabbed with a short knife twice in abdomen. The suspect was punched and knocked unconscious by the victim.

Both men were treated at a nearby hospital.

The suspect — Alvin Reid, 48, of Clovis — has not yet been booked, Wood said.

Police are canvassing the area for video footage of the altercation.
