On Monday, the sheriff’s office identified the victim as Freeman Hunter Jr. and the suspect as his son, 21-year-old Freeman Hunter III.

The younger Hunter was booked into Fresno County Jail, with bail set at $1 million.

A motive for the killing has yet to be established, and the investigation is ongoing.
