The Hanford Police Department Detective and Street Crimes divisions arrested a man Tuesday for repeatedly raping a victim after an investigation of a sexual assault.

A report of a sexual assault was filed with the Hanford Police Department on Dec. 29. According to the investigation, the victim was forced to engage in sexual acts with the suspect on multiple occasions over an approximately one-month period.

Hanford police detectives identified 38-year-old Armando Plascencia as the suspect.

Placencia was located Tuesday as he left his residence in the City of Hanford. Officers conducted a traffic stop and took Placencia into custody without incident.

Placencia was arrested and booked into the Kings County jail and charged with multiple felonies including rape by force or fear, oral copulation by force, kidnapping to commit rape, stalking, and dissuading a witness.

The age or gender of the victim was not released by law enforcement.
