Man stabbed in Visalia late Friday

A 49-year-old man was stabbed just after 11:15 p.m. Friday in Visalia, Sgt. Chris Jennings said.

Officers found the man, who was stabbed by an unknown object, in the 3100 block of South Mooney Boulevard. He was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, where he is listed in serious condition. The victim, whose name was not released, is expected to survive, Jennings said.

No suspect information was provided. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Visalia Police Department Violent Crimes Unit at (559) 713-4921.
