The Fresno Police Department is investigating a shooting Wednesday night that sent a 3-year-old to a Fresno hospital.

Officers responded to the shooting just before midnight at Pinedale and College avenues and located the juvenile who was struck with a single strike mark to their arm, Fresno Police Lt. Marcus Gray II said.

The juvenile was quickly taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition, Gray said.

Officers are still investigating the motive for the shooting.
