Man stabbed with screwdriver during disturbance in Fresno, police say. Suspect arrested

A man was stabbed late Friday afternoon in Fresno.

Officers with the Fresno Police Department responded to the stabbing around 5:20 p.m. at Elm and Grove avenues.

Officers found the victim and he was taken to a local hospital for a minor laceration on his hand from being stabbed with a screwdriver, Fresno Police Lt. Marcus Gray III said.

The suspect was located and she was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

Gray said the couple were involved in a disturbance for an unknown reason before she became upset and allegedly stabbed the victim. They both were dating.
