Man taken to hospital after stabbing in Fresno, police say. Suspect fled the scene

A man was taken to a Fresno hospital Monday night following a stabbing.

Officers responded to the crime scene just after 7 p.m. to the area of Blackstone and Garland avenues for reports of a stabbing victim.

Officers located the victim suffering from a stab wound to the upper body, Fresno Police Lt. Leslie Williams said. He was taken to a local hospital and is stable condition.

Williams said there was an argument before the victim was allegedly stabbed by the suspect. The suspect fled in an unknown direction.

Detectives are investigating the stabbing.
