Home invasion robbery reported in southwest Fresno

Police are investigating a suspected home invasion that took place Wednesday morning in the 1200 block of Martin Avenue in southwest Fresno.

Officers went to the home about 10 a.m., where the homeowner reported that two men forced their way into the home and robbed the victim of about $3,000 in cash at gunpoint, as well as $600 in cash and coins in a Walgreens bag and a cellphone.

The suspects fled in a vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP, where they can receive a cash reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
