911 tape of Reedley road rage shooting released

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday released the 911 call placed after an 18-year-old pregnant woman was shot Sunday night near Reedley.

The woman, who was hit in the eye, remains in critical condition at Community Regional Medical Center. Sheriff’s spokesman Tony Botti said that the woman was about three months into her pregnancy and the unborn child is alive.

Police are searching for a light brown SUV similar to a GMC Yukon or Chevrolet Tahoe in connection with what was apparently a road rage incident.

The shooting took place after the woman’s husband passed the SUV in the 10800 block of South Englehart Avenue about 10:30 p.m.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call detectives at (559) 600-3111 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.
