Arraignment set for man in Bass Lake boating death
An arraignment for the suspect in the Bass Lake boating crash on June 27 that left a 13-year-old boy dead and the boy’s 16-year-old aunt in serious condition is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday in Madera County Superior Court in Bass Lake.
Phat Chau, 55, of San Jose, is charged with misdemeanor involuntary manslaughter after his jet ski rammed into an inflatable innertube, killing David Flores of Fresno.
District Attorney David A. Linn will attend the arraignment.
