Suspect arrested in Las Vegas as part of Fresno murder investigation. Two women wanted
A suspect believed to be responsible for the November 2023 killing of Adriana Gonzales in Fresno was arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
Fresno Police Chief Mindy Casto on Monday said Devin Miliki Senegal, 23, was arrested Friday after officers investigated a suspicious vehicle.
Police said Senegal provided officers with a false name while he was under the influence. Officers in Las Vegas arrested Senegal on suspicion of DUI and learned he had a warrant for his arrest.
Fresno police are also looking for Sabrina Acosto-Ramirez, 29, and Aaminah Norman, 26.
Police said Norman is responsible for the murder and Acosto-Ramirez is aided and abetted after the fact.
Gonzales was killed just after 11:30 a.m. Nov. 25 in the 50 block of East California Avenue.
Gonzales had multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body and the vehicle ran her over. She was taken to a local hospital where she died, police said.
“After the incident happened, we gained information that they had fled,” Lt. Paul Cervantes said. “We’ve been working hand in glove with our marshals. This has been an ongoing saga for us. It’s only by sheer luck that (Senegal) happened to be on the other side of the road intoxicated.”
Cervantes said all four people had a connection with each other and urged Ramirez and Norman to turn themselves in.
Casto said the family “has deeply missed her every day since then.”
“We feel their grief,” she said. “We hear about it and it’s not something we take lightly. They stayed in contact with detectives. Her family asked about her many times and rightfully so. Detectives have worked tirelessly.”
At least 50 search warrants were conducted through the investigation, Casto said.
